Worldly Possessions: Visualizing Ownership in the Age of the Baroque

The Worldly Possessions exhibition was hosted by the McMaster Museum of Art at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, from August 27, 2013 - January 25, 2014. The works on display included a range of paintings, prints, maps and objects from the museum holdings along with loaned objects from private collections and the Department of Biology at McMaster. A team of five undergraduate students assisted with the planning of educational outreach initiatives and the writing of essays and wall descriptors. A catalogue and blog were produced to coincide with the exhibition. The lead essay for the catalogue may be read here. Below are two videos. The first, on the left, presents an illustrated version of the title text (no sound). The second is a video of my curator's talk.
