The origins of Istoria Art Tours go back to 2011, when I led the first of two overseas art history courses I designed for McMaster University's School of the Arts. That course, ART HIST 3VV3, took students on a comprehensive tour of Rome, Florence, Siena and Venice. The following year I modified the same course to focus on Venice and Tuscany and introduced visits to some of the region's hill towns (Volterra and the charming, Monteriggioni). By 2013 I had finished designs for  second course centred on the art and architecture of Baroque Rome. That course took students to the major churches and galleries of the Eternal City and introduced exciting excursions to Tivoli, Assisi, Pompeii, Mount Vesuvius and Capri! 

 

Now, with the launch of Istoria Art Tours, I am bringing the experience of those art history excursions to a wider public....
